The Hatch RS12-80-277M is a 12 volt electronic low voltage transformer for halogen lighting and incandescent rope light. It can power up to 80 watts of halogen lighting or over 20 feet of 12 volt incandescent rope light. The lightweight aluminum transformer is just two inches long and less than an inch deep, making it easy to install out of sight, indoors or outdoors. With harmonic distortion of less than 20%, a high power factor of 0.95, and virtually no audible noise, the RS12-80-277M has none of the drawbacks of older magnetic transformers. Once you install this transformer, you’ll forget it’s even there!
